Good to hear from you again! A Substack about your art AND your drumming would be interesting reading, I think. There are plenty of us challenging ourselves to learn new skills at a later age, so I bet your readers will enjoy living vicariously through your journey. So sorry about Jasper. Lovely pic of him. May his memory live in your hearts for a long time. Happy holidays to you and your family, and hope to hear from you in the new year, in a new format or whatever.
Max is probably grieving, too, so I'd wait until he seemed to move through that grief before adding another animal. But you are the best judge of your family. 💕
Thank you. I do think it will be best until at least February. That will be over three months. I don’t want to cause more stress. Some of it seems like just taking time and doing what feels right.
Lovely to hear from you again, Dakota. I am so sorry to hear about Jasper, my condolences 💙 I wonder if Max needs a little time first before a new companion would come in. My parents' cats were confused when their beloved labrador friend, Rameses, was taken to a burial site; one of them ran after the car and followed it to the burial place. (I am getting goosebumps as I type this). I hope you are OK. Sending love.
The stained glass artwork is stunning. I love the bat!
Looking forward to seeing your progress on the e-drums. We had a set at home but had to sell due to financial issues. I hope you get to enjoy them much longer than we did. Will you be sharing the link to your channel? I'll be happy to subscribe.
Thank you for your kind words. It’s been seven weeks now, and I think we are going to keep waiting until getting another cat. We have a business trip coming n January, so it will at least be February. I am looking forward to getting my drum kit set up and starting lessons. I’ll let you know about my channel if I decide that’s the way forward. I think it would be fun.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Jasper. I know how sad you and your wife are and how confused Max must be also. We have lost several dear cats over the years (2 this year). I would wait a little longer before getting another cat; see how Max does as the only cat. If he was particularly close to Jasper, you could consider a kitten in the spring. Your stained-glass work has improved tremendously, and I enjoy your sense of whimsy. It is very refreshing! You inspire me to pick it up again. Good luck with the drumming! Keep us posted! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year-Barbara and her cats (Oscar, Obi and Casey)

A rescue cat as a companion for Max. And of course for you two.
It may take a short cat separation in the beginning, but they’ll have each other when you’re away. And you will document the goings on so well.
We are very seriously considering it. I think it’s now a question of when. 🐈⬛ ❤️

PS. So sorry about Jasper-
Thank you, Patricia.
